Political History
Muhammad Ubali Shittu joined politics in 1991 when he contested and won the senatorial seat of Jigawa North East. However, his tenure was cut short as the Military continued its intervention in politics until 1999. He was also the Secretary, of Hadeijia Local Government in 1991. In the 2015 elections, he contested a seat in the Jigawa North-East Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and won.
