Project
He is the only Governor in the country meeting up with civil servants salaries and allowances at a time when the country was in recession and many Governors were unable to pay.
Criticism/Controversy
On March 16, 2022, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) placed Willie Obiano the governor of Anambra state on their watchlist. There is no clear reason why the EFCC has him on their watchlist but knowledgeable sources said the move is an indication that the agency may have been discreetly investigating the governor and possibly have intelligence that he plans to travel after handing over power to his successor, Charles Soludo.
